Help Mia get to Tokyo

As many of you know Mia was diagnosed with a Wilms tumor December 2017. She has been battling with this ugly disease for almost a year now. They removed the tumor along with one of her kidneys however the tumors have spread all over her small body. She’s had her ups and downs but has continued to fight and beat the odds. 

Mia is a big fan of anime. She has always wanted to visit Tokyo to see where all the magic is made. On June 8, 2018 the doctors said that Mia would be dead within a week. The make-a-wish people scrambled to get a small party together for her. Since she wasn’t well enough to travel to Tokyo they attempted to bring Tokyo to her. They threw the cutest little party for her. On that same day the radiologist told Andie (mom) that her response to treatment was a miracle and the radiation was working. Mia became strong enough to go home. 

Mia has been continuing with treatment and having more good days than bad. Unfortunately we have just been informed that Mias cancer has mutated and there is no cure. She now has 3 big tumors that are aggressive. This is a very rare occurrence in this type of cancer. So rare that it only happens to 1% of kids that have a wilms tumor. 

Mia is being very positive and is willing to keep fighting to extend her time here with us. She still wishes to travel to Tokyo before she starts declining. Since the make-a-wish people already gave her a “small” party they aren’t able to contribute to the trip. It’s a very expensive trip but we are hoping we can do everything and anything to get her to Tokyo. If you would like to contribute to help send Mia to Tokyo every little bit helps!
