Hello friends!
I’m reaching out to you because I wanted to let you know that myself and a small group of educators here in the Bay Area are trying to embark on a trip to Guatemala to participate in a Spanish immersion program! Our purpose for going is to increase our impact in the communities that we serve.
The demographic that we teach is predominantly Spanish-speaking, often coming from immigrant families who deserve an ally in the quest for their child’s education. Our kids’ families are embracive and relational, but the first step in building these relationships is being able to communicate effectively. Having a strong grasp of the Spanish language will allow us to bridge the communication gaps that we experience at times, with our families.
In order for my colleagues and I to get Guatemala, we have to raise money for the tuition cost of the program. That’s where you come in!
