Help Mom get to Leicester, UK!
My mom has waited 528 years for this man to turn up. He's finally made an appearance, albeit for his second funeral. That makes him truly, the late King Richard III.
A 20-year member of the Richard III Society, she received the invitation sent to all members, to enter a drawing for a seat at his reinterment, being held in Leicester, UK being held March 20-28.
"When I received an entry for a drawing to attend his funeral in person, I filled it out, never expecting to be chosen, but even the chance presented an opportunity I couldn't pass up."
Well, someone must have been listening because out of aproximately 5000 members, she won one seat out of the 600 available at the Society's private service, at Leicester Cathedral on March 23!
Please help us get her to the church on time!
The goal amount is set with the intention of off-setting the conversion rate and making sure as much as possible will be covered, which includes airfare, lodging, meals, transportation to and fro and hither and yon while there, and related events being held in Leicester.
Gofundme and WePay will take a total of 7.9% off of the top plus .30 for each donation. So in addition to the conversion rate plus the cost of changing the money, a single $100.00 contribution made today, (2/26/15), ends up being around 55-57 British pounds, so we have some work to do!
