Moorestown High School Sailing Team

My name is Bobby Whitley and I am the Founder and Coach of the new co-ed Moorestown Sailing Team, that began in the Fall 2017 sailing season. Spring 2018 is the second sailing season. We compete against 23 other NJ high school sailing teams, then regionally and even nationally.
Starting a new co-ed High School team sport takes a lot of time... but it also takes money. The team is not school financially supported, so making this a reality means the team needs rely on sponsorships and donations.
Without money I managed to: Developed a website (click here to see), a team logo, developed an Advisory Board and secured a sponsor racing facility at Riverton Yacht Club (read more below on them)! Also, UPENN sailing team donated and old broken down coach boat that we restored to beautiful status (in exchange we incorporated them into a 501c3).
Any Donations will be used for: Filing as an nonprofit corporation “501 (c)(3)”, sailing team legal & services fees, website hosting, team member recruitment, team member gear, coaches boat, coaching fees and transportation.
Also, your donation is tax deductible! Our team will be (with the aid of your donation) a New Jersey nonprofit corporation “501 (c)(3)” that will provide training and competition in the sport of sailing for students of Moorestown High School, NJ. After your kind donation, I will send you the tax deduction details once we incorporate.
ABOUT OUR TRAINING FACILITY: We are very excited to have the Riverton Yacht Club as our racing facility sponsor! Just 5 miles down the street from our high school on the Delaware River, they will be donating the use of their 420 sailboats and the training facility. Founded in 1865, Riverton Yacht Club is the oldest yacht club on the Delaware River and one of the oldest in America. For 150 years, RACING has continued at the club with today's members racing multiple times a week, skippered by sailing coaches & professors from the elite Universities in NJ and PA.
