MAKING A DIFFERENCE
This year, MHK employees have taken time out of their busy schedules to give back to their community through our 2019/2020 Sponsorship of Oak Grove Elementary 4th Grade Class. For some, it was volunteering a few hours at The Great American Teach-In, donating/collecting school supplies and delivery of school supplies. For other’s it was creating on-going programs/opportunities like purposeful writing and the subject of this correspondence “Angel Tree”
Angel Tree is part of our continual efforts to support Oak Grove’s 4th grade classes during the 2019/2020 school year. The staff at Oak Grove Elementary identify 10 – 15% of their most at risk and/or less fortunate students each year. The student’s names are placed in the Angel Tree list where they have an opportunity to request 3 items from 3 different categories:
· A Book
· A Need
· A Want
This year Oak Grove identified 35 students in need of support; of which MHK has agreed to sponsor 15. Our Volunteer/Engagement Committee's have created this donation link for those wanting to join us on giving these 15 students the opportunity to have a special Holiday Season. The cost for sponsoring 15 students and ensuring we meet our goal is $850. Please join us and receive a special Glass Angel Ornament for your generous donation.
