Hello Everyone-

Thanks for taking the time to read this. Since the mid-90's I became a type II diabetic. I sadly didn't realize it or have it brought to my attention for years and years.
I stated away from the Doctor except when ill. By doing so I didn't get lectured about my lifestyle choices.

In 2013 I had a issue with a sore on the bottom of my foot and it was diabetes related. No insurance and living paycheck to paycheck I again neglected blood sugar etc. I healed up and made an attempt to exercise more and eat better.

Fast forward to December 2014. Another sore on my foot and this one needs attention ASAP. It's 12/11...I Went to urgent care and got antibiotics, and a xray. I couldn't afford the surgery without insurance I signed up for Obamacare and was going to deal with it in 2015.

I got a primary care doctor and we charted a course to get things moving. Referrals to Orthopedic surgeon, an MRI, referral to Infectious Disease(in my foot), and more.

I choose the Orthopedic surgeon route and am waiting now to get my big toe on my right foot amputated. I was scheduled for Surgery on 2/10 but anesthesiologist didn't like my EKG so I had to got to see a Cardiologist and that happened yesterday...Friday The 13th.

They did an Ultrasound of my heart and the Doc didn't like what he saw. My heart appears to be pumping at about 70% of what it should and worse than that, is that it appears I had had a 'silent heart attack'. Of course you go into a mental rewind trying to figure out when and they're to numerous to mention.

I have been trying to get my life in order and accept this new reality but the news about my heart is an incredibly brutal blow to me. On 2/17 I'm going to get an Angioplasty and a 'stent'to get better flow of blood etc.
All of that to get my foot dealt with.

My finances are in tatters and relief of any kind in greatly appreciated. Itis hard to write this but I know I have to as I cannot picture the reality being evicted, homeless and trying to maintain my diabetes.

Tha nks again for reading. It's my day to day and I'm trying to stay possitive.

Love,

Todd
