Urgent: Help evacuate my baby and wife from Gaza

Hi, my name is Hadeel Khrais and I live in North Carolina. I’m trying to raise money on behalf of my uncle Diaa El-Madhoun and his wife and baby in Gaza. My uncle is a light-hearted, generous human who has suffered an immense amount of loss. Last month, he evacuated Gaza with his sick mom (my grandmother) who sadly passed away in Cairo after the toll these last six months of war took on her body. Now my uncle is by himself in Egypt and wants to help evacuate his daughter and wife, so they don’t meet the same fate as so many of our relatives who’ve been killed by Israeli bombardment. The situation is dire and urgent, as just last week a bomb killed multiple family members in the house next to them.

Here’s a message from my uncle Diaa:

Hi, I hope you’ll please consider donating money to help me evacuate my wife and baby daughter who was born just a few weeks before Israel’s assault started in October. Every day, I live in fear that they’ll be harmed or killed by an Israeli bomb. They’re sheltering in a small, cramped space in Rafah without access to clean water, food or electricity.

Before last October, we were living a happy, serene life. I worked as a lawyer, providing for my family, which is no longer the case. After we were ordered to evacuate our homes, we fled south and later learned our house burned down. I’ve lost my home, my job, my law office and, more importantly, my mother and more than 200 relatives, who've been killed.

My family doesn’t have necessary access to medicine, death is all around them, and no place is safe.

Please help me evacuate my dear wife and daughter and bring them to safety. If we raise enough money, I'd also like to evacuate my dad. We have zero savings. Here's a breakdown of costs:

Hadeel will collect the funds in her US-based account and securely transfer it to Diaa via Western Union in Cairo. He will then use the funds to register his family members with an Egyptian travel agency so they can evacuate Gaza.
