Last week I had the amazing experience of climbing to the top of Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest point in Africa. While even more amazing still were the 2 days I spent visiting some of the poorest and most vulnerable families in the Moshi area, with the help of http://kilimanjarodirect.org
The work the charity does is incredible, and has had a profound impact on me. Any donations no matter the size, would be greatly appreciated and would have a massive impact on the lives of some of the poorest families in the world. The avg. daily wage in Tanzania is $2, while all the families helped by the charity earn only a fraction of this or nothing at all.
About Kilimanjaro Direct:
Kilimanjaro Direct (KD) is a charity that has built 10 houses and a primary school in the foothills of Kilimanjaro, Tanzania. The school is run on donations alone. KD provides food and education for 125 impoverished children. 100% of ALL donations go directly to the running of the school, not 1 cent is taken for expenses or administration fees. Everybody involved in the charity pays their own expenses and raise much needed funds to keep the school going purely out of the goodness of their heart. At the moment KD is appealing for donations to help sponsor some of the children, €35 a month would fully sponsor a child.
