Help me build a better future

My life journey has taken me to a place where i can see my future so clearly. I am, however, in need of some financial support to help me complete the neccessary education to make my dreams come true.

My whole life I dreamt of being a lawyer. I have always worked with and volunteered with children and I knew no matter what kids were in my career plan. So i set on a path to be a child protection lawyer.

After completeing my Bachelors of Arts Honours in Criminology and Drama i took some time to work in a variety of schools in the child care sector. Throughout these past 4 years i have watched countless children walk in and out of classrooms having not retained a single piece of knowledge and without a single smile. To me this felt wrong.

I decided i wanted to change the way children view school and i want to change the way school teaches children.

So i poured my heart and soul into a statement of intent for the University of Torontos Masters of Education degree in Curriculum Studies and Teacher Development. I told them how i want new types of classes, how i want to include farming & cooking, finance & small buisness opportunities,  theatre troups and orchestras, woodwork and sewing on a secondary level and on and on. I want children to be prepared for everything life has to offer, so i intend on opening my own school after graduation so i can implement these strageties and help build a brighter future!

Unfortunatly i am still finishing paying off my Bachelors degree and living in Toronto is not cheap and i am facing many challenges right now. Including my beloved dog being very ill and requiring pain meds and care, so when i got my acceptance letter to the program of my dreams yesterday it was a bitter sweet moment as I knew I may not be able to afford my dream right now.
