We are a coalition of SCSU Alumni and students making an effort to save South Carolina State University as the only state supported 4-year HBCU in the state of South Carolina. The Coalition is engaging in litigation (with a world renown attorney) against the state of South Carolina for its financial underfunding of the University and the decline of programs, as well as, the infrastructure of the university.
The funds from GoFundMe will be utilized to pay for litigation. Monies donated will go directly to the attorney to pay for fees and services. The litigation in states such as Maryland, Mississippi, and Georgia has proven that underfunding of HBCU's across the country has existed since the segragation era. South Carolina State University deserves ALL their financial funding!!
