I am Ruaa Bassam Darwish. I am 25 years old. I am from Gaza (Tal al-Hawa), which has been suffering from an ongoing war for 6 months. I am the mother of a child named Muhammad Saad, who is two and a half years old. My husband, Ibrahim Saad, is 28 years old. My mother, Safaa Al-Hasanat, 52 years old, and my siblings, Rima. 24 years old, Sama 19 years old, and Muhammad 21 years old. We are made up of 7 individuals.

There is nothing left for us. All of our homes have turned to ashes. My home and my family’s home and a home for us on a farm. We used to live as a normal family in our homes, which cost us a lot. We suffered until we built them with years of effort. We took a lot of loans and salaries to build it, and in an instant it was transformed with all the furniture, memories and clothes in it. To a pile of ash... We got out of our clothes with only the clothes we were wearing..

My father, Bassam Darwish, died months before the war and left us. We all became responsible, including my mother, Safaa Al-Hasanat, who suffers from stress and kidney problems. She used to work as a journalist and has now left work due to the continuous targeting of journalists. She bears a lot after all the burdens have fallen on her shoulders despite her illness..

As for me, I am married.. I have a young child named Muhammad, who is two and a half years old. He did not know anything in life other than war, the sound of destruction, and terrifying aviation. He did not know the meaning of playing with toys, and he did not know that there was fruit, chocolate, and much of what children eat.. He did not know children’s games and did not go to amusement parks such as All children..

My husband, Ibrahim Saad, studied industrial chemistry and is an inventor. He dreamed of a better future and to have a career in this field

But the war came and left us with nothing. We are all educated and we lost our dreams under this destruction...

Now we dream of getting out of the war in order to preserve our souls and in order to build our future again and be active and live a normal life and return to build a house to shelter us again. We are 7 individuals and we need this amount so that we can travel to Egypt as a way to escape death. Our family suffered from death. More than once, I was displaced and displaced to more than seven places, my mother displacing us from one place to another, and your help will protect us and extend a helping hand to us to live according to our most basic rights as human beings. We have a right to life, not death and destruction.
