Help Nick Fight Cancer!

Many of you will know Nick Whitelaw from the time he spent working with many of the local bands that came out of the Baltimore, Maryland area over the past 30 years.  This included, but certainly is not limited to FACE DANCER, THE RAVYNS, KIX, DC STAR, GROWING UP DIFFERENT, PASSION, AR15 ... just to name a few.  But however you know Nick, you will remember him as a happy-go-lucky friend who always has a joke and a kind word for everyone he came in contact with.   If you needed a favor, Nick would be there to help.  Nick probably has the biggest heart of anyone I have ever met, and he would literally give the shirt off of his back if it would benefit someone in need.

 

Now Nick is the one in need.   And his needs are immediate and desperate.   Last week, Nick received the devastating news that he has advanced stage bone cancer.    Doctors feel that this type of cancer (Myeloma) is treatable.   The problem is that Nick does not have the resources or the funds to seek the urgent care he needs.    Nick's only immediate access to insurance coverage is to maintain the current COBRA coverage offered him by his former employer.   Having this coverage will allow him  access to immediate doctor's care and to all the latest treatments that are available to fight his particular type of cancer. 

 

So now Nick is reaching out to all of you: his friends, acquaintances, co-workers and peers to allow him to begin the fight of his life.  Won't you help Nick now with a contribution to his cause?   Nothing is too small to make a difference in helping Nick overcome this terrible disease.   Nick would be there for any one of you ... and he needs your help in return now.   Please, look into your heart and help Nick out in his time of need.
