Meyer Family House Fire Recovery

On New  Year's Eve, 2017, the Jeff and Christa Meyer family lost their home and one of their cars in a fire at their home in Lenexa, KS. 

Jeff and Christa, who were married in November 2017,  fortunately made it out of the house with their 4 dogs in the nick of time.  Their 5 children, aged 7 to 20 years old, were away from home that evening celebrating the New Year with friends and family.

At this time, the Meyers are staying with family while they work with insurance to establish temporary housing, which they expect to need for up to a year. 

The family needs our help to cover home and car insurance deductibles and all those things associated with establishing a new temporary home for 7 humans and 4 dogs.  The insurance deductibles are around $4,000 by themselves, and the other expenses could be significant. 

At this time, since the Meyers have very little room for material items, they can make the best use of monetary donations. This is very personal to me, as Jeff has had a profound impact on my life as a friend and professional colleague.
