My mom is 51 years old. As some people know she has had a rough past 6 years but the last year has been very rough. About 3 1/2 weeks ago she started getting severe abdominal pain. She went to get checked out and they said it was just constipation. She already suffers from IBS ( irritable bowel syndrome). I brought her into the ER twice within 3 days and the second time they finally admitted her and seemed like they wanted to help her. They gave her numerous enemas and other treatments fir constipation nd nothing worked. She also has a tube through her nose to clear her intestines. She started receiving IVs for food for a week now. They cleared up a little bit of her intestines in order to see what is causing her so much pain and no bowel movement for 3 weeks. They found out she had a narrow colon and twisted intestine. She had emergency surgery last night of a colon obstruction. This surgery they repositioned her rectum into a bag hanging over her belly. Just so it doesn't twist again. The cause is unknown and she will have her biopsy results in a few days to see if there is any cancer. I am just asking for any help because she already struggles day to day with money just like anyone else and she has been out of work for a week and half and who knows how much longer. It is very sad seeing this happen to her and all the pain she is in. Anything helps. Thank you!
