A bit about us:
We're two friends introduced by a wonderful mutual friend almost a decade ago. Unbeknownst to us, we were getting manicures and pedicures from the same nail technician, Met, until we made the discovery a couple of years ago!
A bit about Met:
A ray of sunshine - always a big beautiful smile on her face. Met immigrated to the US from Cambodia - unable to read, write or drive, she is the sole provider for her husband, two daughters, son and two grandsons. Met's husband is battling a potentially life threatening disease. Her family of eight lives in a two-bedroom apartment. No matter what life throws at her - Met's smile, her warm hugs, her care and concern for her family and clients remain constant.
Several weeks ago, Met's family went through a devastating and traumatic incident. Her eldest daughter and husband were violently stabbed and later hospitalized with serious wounds. We want to help Met and her family in any way we can – Met is such a special person and so deserving of a break in life. We sponsored Met's family during the holidays and knew there was more we can do.
We both have supportive communities, filled with people who are often looking for an opportunity to directly give back to a deserving person in need, and that’s why we knew we had to share Met’s story – your donations will help cover medical bills, food, housing and day to day living expenses.
