Schrock family devastated

As my daughter's family was packing their truck to head out of town for Labor Day, a local meth addict/drunk walked by and stole their pickup out of their driveway. Seeing the  truck roll forward from the kitchen window, and knowing their 3 yr old was playing outside, they feared he had somehow gotten into the truck. Missy and Vern ran outside screaming, didn't see their son, and went into immediate action. Vern chased the truck down the street barefoot, and eventually caught up to it, jumping into the bed. He realized a strange man was driving it, and opened the sliding window, and tried to get the guy to stop. Instead, the guy nearly hit a pedestrian walking, drove across a couple lawns, and then deliberately crashed into a large tree  allegedly "to get rid of his passenger," totaling the truck and injuring Vern. The guy tried running from the scene, but was tackled and held for police. Unbeknownst to Vern, Missy had found their son hiding in their other car in the driveway. Vern had to go to the ER to be checked over and had broken teeth and other non-life threatening injuries to his back and ankle.

Missy and Vern are very active in their church, run church programs, and are always volunteering to help others. He is a hard-working man and she is a stay at home mom, with two sons 3.5 and 1 yrs old. They only had liability insurance on the truck, and have no money to replace it. They recently bought a house, as well as car for Missy and the kids. Hiring an attorney is going to have costs.  Vern needs a vehicle so he can get to work. They believe God will provide, as do I. They wouldn't post this, as they usually give, not receive. However, I believe  God works through others..... so can you help out this young family? I will start with 1,000.00.
