 This September, Metanoia is lacing up and taking on the Ealing Half Marathon with one goal: to help more people access free counselling and psychotherapy when they need it most.

 Every day, people face anxiety, depression, trauma, bereavement, relationship difficulties and other challenges that can make life feel overwhelming. For many, taking the first step and asking for help is difficult enough. Finding out that the support they need is simply too expensive shouldn’t be the next hurdle.

 That’s why we’re going the extra mile (13.1 of them, to be precise) to raise money for the Metanoia Counselling and Psychotherapy Service (MCPS)

 MCPS is one of London’s largest low-cost counselling and psychotherapy services, supporting around 800 people over the past year alone. It provides high-quality, longer-term therapy to people who might otherwise struggle to access it, while also playing an important role in training the next generation of counsellors and psychotherapists.

 Now, we want to go further.

 Every penny we raise through the Ealing Half Marathon will help us provide free counselling and psychotherapy sessions to people who otherwise may not be able to afford it.

 For our runners, that means months of training, early starts, tired legs and, eventually, 13.1 miles to the finish line. For someone else, your donation could help them take a very different first step: through the door to meet a therapist.
