Mesothelioma & Asbestos Fundraiser

Mesothelioma is a type of cancer that forms in the protective lining that surrounds the lungs (pleura) or abdomen (peritoneum) after asbestos fibres, inhaled 15 to 40 years before, transform from the inflammation, scarring and genetic damage caused when they become lodged in the protective lining of the organ. Mesothelioma requires an exposure to asbestos fibres greater than usual background exposure.

My father Peter Molineux contracted Sarcomatoid Pleural Mesothelioma from working with asbsestos in the Whyalla ship yards back in his early years. Peter found out about his cancer in 2012 and quickly deteriorated after that. He managed to visit us here in Mackay in August 2013 but shortly after, lost his battle  on 18th October 2013. 

In memory of my father on the 4th anniversary of his passing and as a way of raising funds for mesothelioma and asbestos victims I have grown my beard for the past year, (which is how I remember my dad growing up) and have decided that at the end of this month (October 2017) I will be shaving it all off.  So for those of you who have said that you think I should shave it off and said you would pay me to see it go, here is your chance...
