Mesjidu tewbah

Brothers and Sisters, I would like to ask your help with renovating Masjid Al Tewbah which is located in Wello, Ethiopia. Mesjid Al Tewbah was founded by Hajji Amhed Umer over 30 years ago. He has passed away and since then the Masjid has been struggling to serve the islamic community. Masjid Al Tewbah is a learning center for children and adults.  

Our goal is to provide clean water system, wudu, restroom area, electricity for lighting, carpet flooring for prayer, and a safer roof. 
Many of the families who currently attend this islamic center are poor and unable to donate. We also want to provide a positive learning environment for children such as class rooms, school supplies, books and more teachers. Masjid Al Tewbah will be a safe haven for children of all ages.

My goal is to begin renovations after the month of Ramadan of 2018. Inshallah, I hope to complete this project in less than 1 year.

My life goal is to improve the lives of children in Wello.  Education is a priority in islam and many of these children lack the resources to gain islamic education. I remember as a child in Wello, I experienced the same challenges such as walking to school with only a pencil and a paper to do my studying. Now that I look back, it saddens me to know children are still struggling to get an education. It is my obligation to provide a better future for the children of my community.
