Merv Wiseman has lent a hand all his life, now he needs one

Hi, my name is Ryan Cleary and I’m fundraising to help my friend Merv Wiseman get a life-saving double-lung transplant in Ontario. Merv suffers from pulmonary fibrosis, a chronic lung disease, but has been approved for an operation waiting list at the Toronto General Hospital. Merv and his wife, Eileen, must relocate from their home in North Harbour, Placentia Bay, to a residence within 10-minutes of the hospital to be ready for an operation that could come at any time. Only depending on when a double-lung match becomes available, the wait may take months, and rent alone will cost thousands of dollars a month. Merv has spent his entire life as a tireless, outspoken advocate for a variety of causes — from fur farming and the seal hunt to the wild commercial fisheries and Canadian Coast Guard search and rescue services — and it’s only fitting we lend a hand when he needs it.
