Hello everyone,
This summer I will be interning at the Meru District Hospital in Arusha, Tanzania for 8 weeks. The hospital is quite large, and it provides service for much of the community that surrounds it. Meru District Hospital contains many departments including pediatric, HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria clinics while also performing over 1,000 operations annually. The individuals of Tanzania face a multitude of life-threatening diseases- illnesses that we never have to worry about on a daily basis. The Meru District Hospital works to combat these endemic disease and to provide the best possible healthcare to the inhabitants of Northern Tanzania. Please consider joining me to help the Meru District Hospital assist their patients in an effort to minimize the effects of some of the most lethal diseases in the world. I, as well as the hospital, would be extremely grateful for any token of generosity, regardless of the quantity- a small amount of money will go a long way. All donations will be given to the Meru District Hospital upon my arrival to the hospital.
