Since 2011 a small group of past students/teachers launched and support The MERCILIA MALLETT SCHOLARSHIP FUND. The creation of the scholarship fund is a way of honoring Mrs. Mercilia Mallett - The 1st Principal of Castleton All-Age School). Mrs. Mallett continues to be a champion for Education and Community development.
The goal of the fund is to help students from the Castleton and neighboring communities, with potential for greatness to accomplish their goals academically.
Over the past 7 years the Scholarship Committee has provided 2 scholarships each year. The awardees of these scholarships have gone on to High Schools such as Jamaica College, St. Mary's High, Mary Mount High and Queens High School to name a few.
ALL donations will be used to fund the MERCILIA MALLETT SCHOLARSHIP FUND.
