Classroom Fundraiser-St. Augustin's School Vanuatu

St. Augustin school, Merap is about a 30 minute drive from Luganville, which is the capital of the beauitful island, Espiritu Santo, in Vanuatu. Luganville is the main large town on Espiritu Santo, the rest of the island is dotted with small villages, including Merap.

In 2018, the Manaro Voui Volcano on the nearby Ambae Island erupted, resulting in a full island evacuation. Many families have settled in villages on Espiritu Santo including Merap, and as a result, St Augustin's has grown from approximately 65 students to 156 students. While there is temporary shelter it is not weather proof or sustainable.

We’ve been able to supply the students at St. Augustin's with uniforms for the last 18 months, but the schools resources cannot keep up with the growth in student numbers. 

Now this is where you come in! 

This September, we are heading back to Merap to begin the project of building TWO brand new classrooms for the students. But we can't complete the project without funding for the materials to build the classrooms. This September we are undertaking the construction of one classroom and will need $10,000 for the materials.
