Protect and Survive - Cats for Humanity

Thank you all so much for your generous support. Because of you guys, we now can cover rent till end of May! While we still cannot open for public visits to our cat lounge yet, we’d like to do something useful with our space. We want to pay the favor forward to help humanity in the fight with this pandemic.

We are launching a new campaign :

MISSION

STAGE 1: 999 MASKS
Produce and donate face masks for essential workers such as USPS workers, mail man, grocery store workers, nursing home, garbage collectors, first response, law enforcement, bus drivers etc.

WHY?
-------------
CDC has recommended to wear face protection when out in public or interacting in community settings. Mainly to prevent people from unknowingly spreading COVID 19 while asymptomatic or pre-symptomatic. Studies also show that face-masks are largely effective in reducing the spread of respiratory infections.

Face masks are at a global shortage and a good one is hard to come-by. Many of our essential workers still need to perform their daily duties, often without face masks. Medical masks should reserved for front line health workers, but not all face coverings are created equal. Cats are here to help. We have researched, tested, and optimized a few designs with materials that are definitely better than a scarf. We want to arm all essential workers with good face-masks.



HOW DOES IT WORK?

We are pledging ONE facemask for each purchase of a face mask or donation to the campaign. Help us get to 999 masks!

We've been a part of this community for almost 5 years. It has been an absolute honor to provide this unique experience for human and cats alike and match families for more than 250 cats. 

We recently took precaution and suspended our operations ahead of the Governors.

So right now, we need your support more than ever.  This will be a long battle and I'm raising money to help us weather through the hard times and keep our lights on.  Any donation will help make an impact. Your contribution to this cause that means so much to me to us, and the cats. 

We understand that times are difficult and not everyone may be able to contribute. However, even sharing our message around will be of help.
