Mentes Brillantes

Hey friends,
Last summer, thanks to the Davis Projects for Peace Foundation, I was able to open an after-school arts center in Cartago, Colombia called Mentes Brillantes (Brilliant Minds). Volunteers at the center help children with their homework for the first half of the session, and then teach them different artistic skills for the second half. Every day of the week, a different artistic skill is taught (i.e, dance is taught on Fridays, vocal lessons are taught on Tuesday, etc).
Children coming from very impoverished neighborhoods pay close to nothing for our services, and children coming from more well-off neighborhoods pay higher rates. This income, plus the help of a local church nearby, is the only thing sustaining the center.
I created this GoFundMe page because although I left Colombia and my work was technically completed, there are still beautiful people working at Mentes Brillantes who need our help sustaining the after-school center. They need funds to buy things we usually take for granted: a snack for children to eat when they arrive from school, drinkable water, a fan so the kids won't be distracted by the heat, more school supplies, etc.
Any help is sooooooo appreciated, which doesn't only include monetary help. I understand that not everyone is capable of donating; your prayers and encouragement are worth gold, too.
