A message from Vanessa and Michelle : Joey was suffering. All his life. With traumatic things that happened to him, anxiety, feelings he couldn't explain and thought no one would understand.
He felt everything so deeply. From love to anger, but rarely hate. He brought so much light and laughter to everyone he met.
Joey's life force was so strong that he held on for 7 days until his mind succumbed.
His body lived on for a further 2 days to give life to at least 10 or more people and respite to their families. His liver alone saved 2 lives, one being a child.
My mum and I have been so overwhelmed with the generosity and kindness of everyone. You have all held us up in our darkest hour and for that, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
