Mending Ms. Rose's Heart

If you know Rose Killian, Ms. Rose to most, there’s no question you have a good story to tell. She’s sassy, kind-hearted and can reach the heart of any child she meets. She’s one of those rare people in which others happily gravitate towards. Her impact on the lives of the children she has taught will last a lifetime.
The week of June 2nd, Rose began to have severe back pain. At the behest of Cathy, Ms. Rose's best friend, they went to the ER to have the pain checked out. The results of the tests showed that Ms. Rose was having a heart attack and she was admitted to Conway hospital. Two days later, after more testing, Ms. Rose and family received the news that she would have to be transferred to Grand Strand Hospital for open heart surgery. The surgery was a success with only two complications that followed over the few days after surgery.
Ms. Rose has begun the long road to recovery. She will continue undergo testing and cardiatric rehab to ensure a full recovery and things are slowly returning to normal. But now the bills are coming in. Between the open heart surgery, the ambulance ride between hospitals, two hospital stays, a required at-home nursing service and now the follow up tests, cardiatric rehab, all combined with the loss of income from her summer job, Rose is in need of our help.
As a community we have an opportunity to show her we care. If you know Ms. Rose, you’d also know she is the first to give, but be the last to ask.
My husband, Kyle, and I created this page in order to help the woman we love so much as all of the medical bills come in. She is Ya ya to our sweet Sabene, Ms. Rose to the countless children she has taught and the families of those children over the years and Rose to all others she has come to meet.
