MEN TOO ARMY-targeting male suicide rates

MEN TOO ARMY is a campaign set up to provide support to boys/adolescents/men to promote their wellbeing in an attempt to reduce the increasing male suicide statistics. Currently 3 out of 4 UK suicides are of males and the numbers are increasing. Males are now a vulnerable population that need our support! We are supported by Mind the Mental Health Charity and we aim to encourage social support for males so that they feel that we value, care and support them.   We encourage and promote awareness with the sale of our MEN TOO ARMY merchandise. This helps to mobilise wide spread awareness, as well as demonstrate support. We also offer an online listening service which also actively navigates service users to our website. The website has a portfolio of local and national services to signpost, alongside inspiring stories of lived experiences of mental illness. We want to encourage fundraising and ask that as many local or national services that promote better mental health for males let us promote them within our service. The goal of MEN TOO ARMY is to collaborate and strengthen resources available to men to help them feel valued, cared for and supported. The OVERALL aim is to encourage men to express themselves and mitigate mental illness and suicide.
