Memorial support for Kathleen W

Kathleen Elizabeth Wirkkala was diagnosed with primary central nervous system lymphoma on May 23, 2018. Primary central nervous system (CNS) lymphoma is a disease in which malignant (cancer) cells form in the lymph tissue of the brain and/or spinal cord. They have tried several aggressive treatments with no success. In the last week, they have decided to stop treatment and she is now home to pass in the privacy of her own home with her family. They are trying to keep her as comfortable as they can until she is able to be at peace. 

Her family has been by her side the entire time.  Kathleen is the rock of her family and now her family have to lean  on each other to get through this extremely difficult time.  She is a strong, funny and caring woman.  She would be there for her family and friends without having to be asked.  She is going to be missed by many who have been lucky to know her and have her in their lives. 

The family has missed a lot of work to be able to be at her side.  It is hard enough to lose a loved one without the worry of financial difficulties. Medical bills alone are extremely high. I would like to help their family not have the burden of the finances of the cremation and memorial. 

They have a place planned for cremation that is $600. They want to rent a hall in Puyallup for her memorial.  A place they can set up pictures and memories of her to share and celebrate her life with family and friends.  A simple pot luck style gathering for everyone to pay their respects to her and her family.
