Memorial Services for Lana Desmond

My youngest son, Justin Salter, long time girlfriend, Melanie Luttman, lost her mother; Lana M. Desmond, suddenly on Sunday June 21st, 2020. In effort to respect the families privacy, I will not disclose any details. Justin and Melanie lived with Lana. Lana has 3 children; Melanie and her two brothers, Ronald Luttman and Daniel Luttman, and they all loved their mom very much. Melanie (the youngest), just graduated SL East High school earlier this month and was accepted into U of M Flint’s Nursing Program and her mom was her best friend. In Mel’s own words, she told me: “she was the best mom and I am going to miss her so much”! Lana is also survived by her loving mother and step-father; Michelle & Norman Reece, as well as many other family and friends.   For those of us whom were blessed enough to know her, we know how big her heart was and how much she loved her family. She was often the life of the party and her bold, beautiful personality stood out wherever she went. She will truly be deeply missed by so many. As you can imagine; this is a terrible tragedy that the kids will now have to learn to cope with and most importantly, we are asking all of our friends and family to keep all of them in your thoughts and prayers. In hopes to alleviate some of the financial stresses and burden off of Lana’s children, I have asked the family for permission to set up this Go Fund Me account, in effort to raise enough money to cover the cost for their mom’s memorial service ($7,500); which will be held at AJ Desmond Funeral Home in Royal Oak. As we all know, times are tough for so many of us right now with the COVID-19 Pandemic, but if your able to help by donating any amount at all, I know her children will be forever grateful.   Any proceeds above and beyond the cost of the memorial service, will be spilt evenly between Lana’s three children (Ron, Dan and Melanie).
