Please friends and family and those of Mike, Valerie, Dylan, Linda and myself take one moment to read this.
As many of you have already learned, our loved one Miles faced an unfortunate fate. He passed our world way before his time. None of his family or friends have ever fathomed losing him so soon. The dreams and aspirations he had for himself and his son will never be completely fulfilled. He was a damn hard worker for his family: long hours, exposure to toxic substances, hours that prevented him from a “normal” family life, and sleep when it is not natural. Yet, he persevered.
He worked to spend meaningful and quality time with son Dylan: his pride and joy. He always spoke of the better days to come. He was optimistic of a better future for him and his family. The love he showed is apparent in the many photos and stories he shared of his son and two nieces; he always had laughter and a beautiful smile when recollecting and sharing the memories and pictures of these occasions. His aspirations for a better future were never far from his reach,
His loss has shaken the ground beneath the family of his loved ones. He was always supposed to be part of their future, not a memory in their hearts. The emotional toll is indescribable. The loss and empty hole in their hearts can never be filled. Let us all try to alleviate any extra burden they may face from their devastating loss and prevent them from facing financial burden as well.
Every single dollar, five dollars, or change can help them focus on the grief they bear. Why should any family ever have to bury a son or father before their time I will never know. But I do know they should never have to consider what type of memorial, burial, cremation, or service they are limited to because of cost. Find it in yourselves to contribute so that Miles’ family can give him the farewell he deserves.
