Dear family and friends,

We are so devastated by the sudden loss of Maria Lee and are asking for donations to help cover funeral expenses. She was a wonderful friend, sister, mother, daughter and wife. And dedicated her whole life to God and her family. Her favorite hobbies were cooking, gardening & vintage shopping.

Many may have not known this, but she fought a hard & long battle at Duke University for 3 excruciating months. She was fighting a deadly disease called HLH, which quickly took a major toll on her body. She suffered unforeseen complications with her organs and multiple surgeries. Then on August 19th, we received devastating news. Her CT scans indicated multiple ruptured blood vessels in the brain and there was no way to ever recover from it. We had to let her go, which was the hardest thing any of us has ever had to do. She was surrounded by her immediate family, during her passing…..and went quickly & peacefully.

Our lives have forever changed. She leaves behind a loving husband, 3 beautiful children and her dog Snoopy. A few things we will miss the most about her are her smiles, laughs, hugs, jokes, and cooking. We would love to fulfill her last wish, which is to give her a nice & beautiful service. Anything will be greatly appreciated. Thank you, friends and family!
