Memorial of Theia Rose McKie

On the 22nd April 2014, a much longed for little girl arrived into this world for Tracey Currie and Ainsley McKie. After years of heartache, Tracey finally had her baby - Theia Rose.

 

Theia was a fun loving little girl, loved to dance and sing with an incredible bubbly nature. She was kind to others, helpful and compassionate. As the family grew, Theia loved nothing more than to be hands on to help her parents and doted on her little brothers, Laythan, Quinn and Hudson. The last 18 months have been incredibly hard for the family.

 

When Tracey and Ainsley discovered they were expecting twins their life felt complete. However, sadly they very quickly realised Hudson was a little slower to reach his milestones. As time passed, the difference between the twin boys was obvious and life was not going to be easy… however Theia loved nothing more than to help her parents. Tracey always loved to sew and create and at Halloween she hand made Theia a costume - A Harley Quinn costume personalised to Theia. She partied the Halloween away and it was very evident that she was Loving life!

 

Theia began feeling unwell and despite medical intervention, sadly Theia passed away on Wednesday 17th November 2021.

 

Having known Tracey long before her kids and after much thought and discussion with Tracey herself, We can’t imagine how our friend, Ainsley and their extended family feels or how they are struggling as any parents would.

 

We are aware that the Government provides some financial assistance towards covering funeral costs for children, however we feel that this may not be enough to give her the beautiful send off that Theia deserves. It will ensure that the family don't need to worry about the financial side of things. Tracey feels the funeral is the last chance to spoil Theia.

 

In honour of that, we have set up this gofund me page. To make sure they can do that very thing …If we exceed our target, we feel that any surplus donations should go towards the family making memories with the boys.
