Memorial Fund Gabrielle Marshall

Our world was rocked by the tragic loss of a light this weekend--Gabrielle “Gabby” Marshall at age nineteen.

Just getting started with her adult journey, she already seemingly jumped ahead, achieving quickly in her passion area of the arts and theater. Beyond that, her smile and warmth has been infecting us and all that touched her sphere including, family, friends from the Carmel area, IUPUI and the theater.

Lets lift some of the burden together and allow my lifelong friend, Gabby's father, Andy Marshall and Rose, Gabby’s mother, to grieve and begin a healing process. Final expenses for a young, vibrant person are often far from the planning prioritization for anyone and that is the situation here as well.

Any donation that may offset the real financial hardship of the moment is appreciated and welcomed with humility and graciousness. Many of you have seen the kind words that Jeff, Andy;s brother, wrote recently and they are worth repeating here as they truly capture the special, enviable love that Andy and Gabby shared. "I am asking for prayers for my brother Andy. He tragically lost his 19 year old daughter, Gabby, yesterday. Fatherhood was, without a doubt, Andy’s shining moment.

Gabby was his whole world and his greatest accomplishment— and this was obvious to anyone who knew my brother. Watching the two of them together over the years was always something that proved very special to Kate and me. Both. Andy and Gabby thrived as a result of the fierce connection they shared with one another.

Gabby flourished because of her dad’s attentiveness, commitment, encouragement and doting heart. She was a straight A student with a winning smile and a love for the arts and animals. She was going to do GREAT THINGS. Andy came to life and exuded undeniable joy watching his daughter take on life in all her zest and passion.

They were a special duo indeed. He is going to need an abundant amount of support and prayers to get through this devastating loss."
