On Thursday, September 27th, 2018 Branimir Djokic tragically ended his life in motorcycle accident on the Williamsburg Bridge, after ramming his motorcycle into a car. He was on the way home, rushing to see his friends just two days after his birthday. He suffered severe injuries and after several attempts of medical staff to revive him his body was taken to Woodhull hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Branimir Djokic was 33-year old man from Ruma, Serbia where he was born and finished elementary school. He held a degree in geography and had an affection for environment and human impact on nature. Due to poor economical situation in Serbia he decided to move to USA and fulfill his dream and help his family. Since 2014 he lived in NY, worked multiple jobs, developed a passion for photography, woodcarving and was able to play both guitar and drums. He was in harmonic relationship, had a lot of friends from whole world.
Unfortunately his story didn’t have happy ending.. For his friends he is a symbol of passion, devotedness, strong caring character and memory of him is immortal.
Our goal is to contribute and provide additional memorial funds for this loving man because we feel that is the least we can do in this shocking moment.

Stefan Cecura, friend and roommate of deceased. Driver and assistant manager in Lemons & Olives Catering, living in NYC.
Dragan Popovic, friend of deceased, manager in “The Computer Store”
Natasa Petkovic, neighbor of deceased. Server in catering company in NYC.
Milan Predojevic, friend of deceased person. Journalist, video producer & video editor. Living in Washington DC, working at the international broadcaster, Voice of America.
Where are we from?
Toni and Stefan are from Ruma, Marko from Belgrade, Milan and Dragan from Novi Sad and Natasa from Nis, Serbi.
After the funds are withdrawn money will be sent to the family via wired transfer.

U četvrtak 27, septembra 2018 Branimir Đokić je preminuo u tragičnom saobraćajnom udesu na mostu Vilijamsburg u Njujorku. Pretrpeo je smrtonosne povrede i nakon nekoliko pokušaja lekara da ga reanimiraju odveden je u Vudhul bolnicu u Bruklinu gde je konstatovana smrt.
Bane je rođen pre 33 godine u Rumi, gde je završio osnovnu školi. Diplomirao je na geografskom fakultetu i imao veliku želju da pomogne svom okruženju, bio je zaljubljen u prirodu. Ipak, zbog ekonomske situacije u Srbiji odlučio je krenuti “preko bare”, ostvariti američki san i pomoći porodici. Od 2014. godine živeo je u Njujorku, radio nekoliko poslova i usput otkrio strast prema fotografiji, duborezu, a povremeno je svirao gitaru i bubnjeve. Bio je srećno zaljubljen i stekao prijatelje iz celog sveta.
Ova priča možda nije imala srećan kraj, ali je njen glavni akter bez dvojbe živeo život po svojim pravilima i punim plućima. Za svoje prijatelje on je simbol strasti i posvećenosti, njegov karakter snažan i istovremeno brižan, a uspomena na njega besmrtna.
Naš je cilj da Baneta pošaljemo nazad u mesto u kom se rodio, na mesto večnog počinka. Prikupljena sredstva biće upotrebljena za transport preminulog, troškove sahrane, a ostatak će biti prosleđen porodici.
