On July 26, 2023, our family was faced with the most horrible tragedy we could ever imagine. In the late hours of the afternoon, we were notified by the San Diego Police Department that our father had been killed in a car accident. We knew that he was going to Ensenada to check on his mother as he always did, and to pick up our sister for a one -week summer visit in California. We thought that he would be returning home as usual. When the news broke that he was killed in an accident on the I-805 freeway, our hearts stopped immediately. We were stunned and heartbroken for our Dad and our mother, to whom we had to break the devastating news. As information began to unfold about the incident, our family became more upset learning that the collision was head-on, the other driver was impaired, traveling the wrong way on the freeway, and to be honest I wish I didn't have access to the photos available online showing the condition of my Dad's van after impact. I only pray that he didn't suffer after the point of impact. The reason we are posting a GoFundMe is because we are in need of financial help. My Dad worked hard all his life, he was the main provider to my mother and our youngest sister who is 10 years old. He was a loving father to his six children ( ages 10 to 40) and a beloved husband. En las últimas horas de la tarde, el Departamento de Policía de San Diego nos notificó que nuestro papá había muerto en un accidente automovilístico. Sabíamos que iba a Ensenada a ver a su madre y a recoger a nuestra hermana para una visita de verano con nosotros en California. Pensamos que volvería a casa como siempre. Cuando se supo la noticia de que murió en un accidente en la autopista I-805, nuestros corazones se detuvieron inmediatamente. Estábamos atónitos y desconsolados. A medida que comenzó a surgir información nos enteramos que la colisión había sido frontal, que el otro conductor estaba ebrio, y que viajaba en sentido contrario en la autopista. La razón por la que publicamos un GoFundMe es porque necesitamos la ayuda financiera. Mi papá trabajó duro toda su vida y era el principal proveedor de mi madre y nuestra hermana menor de solo 10 años. El fue un padre amoroso con sus seis hijos ( edades 10 - 40) y un amado esposo.
