Memorial Fundraiser Following The Passing of Liam

This fundraiser, in memory of Liam Jones, has now closed THANK YOU so much for helping us raise £2,170 which will go to his family to help out with funeral and other costs. 

As many people in the Aberdeen community are aware, Liam Jones tragically and unexpectedly passed away on Monday the 19th of July, 2021 at the age of just 29. Liam was an extremely important and loved member of the Aberdeen community, particuarly the LGBT community in the city, to which he gave a genorous amount of his time. A former board member and Chairman of Four Pillars, Liam was a bright and passionate young man who was also a familiar face at Cheerz Bar in the city, where he worked in 2016 and '17. Four Pillars Trust, Cheerz Bar and an individual contributor have partnered to launch this fund with an initial donation of £1000 and all proceeds will be made available to Liam's family to meet costs and/or make a donation to a relevant charity in Liam's memory.

Liam was a very charming, hard-working young man and passionately gave of himself, using his quick wit and dry sense of humour to connect with people, seemingly without effort. We at Four Pillars, Cheerz, and his friends more widely feel very privileged to have known him and want to thank all contributors for their generous support.
