Memorial fund to get Hector Fajardo home

Hector Fajardo passed away Sunday, February 17, 2019 at 38 years of age. Hector had a presence that could not go unnoticed. He had a quiet ease that ensured respect while making everyone feel comfortable. Although he appeared to have a hard exterior he was the most sensitive and caring person you could meet. When someone needed help he was quick to offer what he had. While visiting his childhood village in Guatemala Hector noticed a man with torn shoes that were causing pain in his feet. Hector took off one of his own shoes, asked if it fit, and when he said they did Hector gave them to him. Without hesitation, or requesting another pair of shoes, he walked home barefoot. Hector had a deep-seated love for his family and friends including: his loving wife~ Adriana Flores, son~ Hector Fajardo, brother~ Rodvin Alfonso Arana, mother-in-law~Mary Flores, sister-in-law~ Susan Flores, father-in-law~ Walter Flores, and countless others in the states and Guatemala. He will be buried next to his mother, Matilda, in Zapotitlan, Guatemala.

The thing closest to Hector’s heart was his family. And although he had family in the United States, much of his family still resides in his home country, Guatemala. It was a wish of Hector’s to be buried next to family in Guatemala. However, sending someone to be buried internationally is considerably expensive and will require upwards of 15,000 dollars, which poses a significant financial burden for his family. With Hector’s wish in mind, his wife, Adriana, is requesting that if anyone wishes to give donations to Hector’s memory, they might consider contributing towards this considerable expense to enable Hector to rest next to his mother.
