Please help us provide some financial stability for Diana Case, as she navigates life without her husband, Wes – and maintains their restaurant, Teddy's Bigger Burgers, on her own.
It is with a heavy heart that we share the passing of our beloved son, husband, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend, James Wes Case. He passed on Thursday, October 15th, after a long and hard fought battle with cancer. He leaves behind his wife, Diana, whom he was married to for 36 wonderful, adventure-filled years.
Wes was a giant, in the literal and figurative sense. Standing over 6 feet tall, and a mass of pure muscle. He could intimidate anyone, but those who knew him were aware of his soft heart. Wes was a go-getter: ambitious to say the least; a Maryland native and blue crab lover; and a charismatic presence in his family.
He loved nothing more than traveling the world with his wife Diana. From the Pacific to the Mediterranean Sea, they explored all it had to offer. Their favorite place, was Hawaii. So much so, they began their entrepreneurial endeavor – bringing a slice of the islands to the mainland: Teddy's Bigger Burgers. Through it all, Diana was the apple of Wes' eye, and his every reason to fight his diagnosis. With no children of their own, they gave endlessly to their nieces and nephews, and their friends' children.
Diagnosed in May of 2019, Wes had an inoperable tumor that kept him in constant pain, and unable to help his wife Diana with their restaurant. Without skipping a beat, Diana picked up all of the responsibilities of store owner and care-taker. She drove him to every single chemotherapy and radiation treatment, and doctors visit. She was by his side for every moment of hope and disappointment, all while managing the family business to the best of her ability. Now, it is our turn to make sure she doesn't walk alone.
This campaign was set up by family, in the hopes of lifting some financial burden of the medical bills from Diana's shoulders as she continues to put her employees, friends and customers first, even in her time of grief.
Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers, and if you are able to help, in any way, please know how grateful we are.
"Not goodbye, just Aloha for now."
