Memorial Fund for Slama Family

Donation protected
This past June Lisa Slama lost her husband Jim, suddenly and unexpectedly. Lisa has four boys with two in high school and two in college.  As you can imagine, this has left Lisa in a situation where a little or a lot of outside help would be much appreciated. This page has been set up to do exactly that.  The first $150 raised will go towards a memorial tree in Francis Park which Lisa can visit or admire as she continues teaching at St. Gabriel.  All money raised beyond that point will be given to Lisa to be used for medical bills, her boys' education and anything else she may need.

If you did not know Jim, here is a paragraph from his obituary that says exactly who he was...
"Jim worked at McDonald’s in the 80’s, where he met his wife, Fox Photo and CPI, the Times Newspapers, and most recently at RG Ross Construction. His most important work, however, was as a devoted dad and husband. He was intensely proud of his sons and the  most caring of husbands. Jim always put others before himself, not only at home but in the community of his parish, the Affton Chamber of Commerce, and Raywood Avenue. He was a generous, thoughtful, and humorous person who had great ideas and could make them happen. He could always be counted on to help where help was needed, and readily offered his assistance to those in need. He loved dogs (Pepper!!), rock music, the Steelers, movies, and trivia."

As you can see, he is someone that will be greatly missed. Please give what you can.  Any donation is appreciated. Thank you so much!
