Rose Mary Murton was a beautiful and loving mother who devoted her life to her two girls, Kelly and Tiffany and her 5 grandchildren.
In October 2016, Rose Mary was diagnosed with small cell lung cancer which had spread to 5 other areas in her body. Faithful but afraid, Rose Mary started chemotherapy treatments for the next 3 months. She lost all of her hair. She was tired and weak but she kept fighting. At the end of the treatments, her prayers were answered and the cancer was about 99% gone!
Celebrations didn't last long as the cancer returned to her lung less than 6 months later. It also started growing in her leg and spine, viciously attacking those areas requiring 2 emergency surgeries.
Rose Mary tried to re-gain her strength with the help of her two daughters who took care of her for the last few months of her life at home. One who is also a single mother to 3 teenagers. Unfortunately, the cancer never stopped. Sadly, it moved into her brain. Within 3 days of her family learning the cancer spread again, Rose Mary passed away. The blessing was at the time of her passing, Rose Mary was comfortable, not in pain, not alone and passed in her sleep leaving her children and grandchildren devastated.
I am a life long friend of the family and I wanted to do all I can to help this family. Rose Mary did not have any life insurance and the full financial burden falls on the girls. The girls are struggling to figure out how to come up with the finances needed to honor their mother.
