A light has truly gone out in our lives. Our beloved daughter Kya Eckelberger left this world on Tuesday, June 6. Her illness was sudden and progressed very quickly. She was caring, intelligent and well-loved by so many in her short life. The world is a sadder place without her.
I can't begin to describe the feeling of losing a child. We are numb and trying to figure out how to navigate our grief.
Many of our friends and family have been looking for ways to help during this time. We love you all for reaching out and showing us how much you care for us and cared for Kya. Unfortunately, we were not financially prepared for this moment in our lives. This campaign is being opened to help fund arrangements for Kya, hospital bills, and expenses while we pick up the pieces of our lives. Any additional funds will be placed in a charity or scholarship in Kya's name.
