Memorial fund for funeral expense

My name is Terri Garver and I live in Birmingham, Alabama.  I met D.J. when he was little and grew up with my son. In fact, we consider him a part of our family.  We've shared years with him and his family and have been heartbroken by this loss. Once D.J. came into your life, he was the light in every room. He was more than my son's best friend.  He was the unofficial "governor"of our community.  He made sure everyone felt welcome and brought joy everywhere he went.

D.J. was incredibly close with his sisters, parents, nephews, and nieces.  You couldn't chat with him without hearing about the people he loved most in the world.  We know he would have wanted to make sure his family was taken care of in his passing.

D.J. passed away unexpectedly at the age of 31 from a heart attack.  He was on the football practice field with his beloved Ragin' Cajun team.  He loved football, his team, his colleagues and has been a part of so many coaching communities. We cannot measure the loss of this incredible man within our community.

D.J. passed away so young that he could not have prepared for funeral expenses.  We have organized this fund for his immediate family to cover the funeral, burial, and death expenses. Any remaining funds will go to the family.  

Ashlee Looney, his sister, is the beneficiary receiving the funds.  We hope to raise these resources as soon as possible so she and the immediate family can use them for the current costs.

D.J. was truly loved by everyone! We are grieving an immense loss and hope to ease the financial challenges this puts upon his family so we can celebrate the life he had.  Thank you for any gift you can offer.
