Yesterday, December 2, Becky (Dolores) Cubillos
left this earth to join our Lord in heaven. I was friends with her and her family after having her children in my class while teaching at Bohn School. Becky lost her courageous battle against Sarcoma cancer. She had survived this cancer four times in the past years. This last fight included an
eight hour surgery. Becky was able to be at home with her family, which was her last wish.
Becky and Jesus have four children, two at Tracy High, one middle schooler, and a fourth grader at Bohn School in Tracy. She had studied in college to become a teacher, it was her lifetime goal. When her kids entered school Becky started volunteering in their classrooms. As they grew older both Becky and Jesus volunteered in several classrooms at Bohn. They were also Parent Club officers, helping organize and put on many, many events. They volunteered almost everyday at
school. Becky was named Tracy Unified Volunteer of the Year a few years ago. While working
with Becky, I repeatedly heard her use the phrase, “You can do it, try again.” Always encouraging students and her own children to do their best!! She worked hard to help her children succeed in school.
Please consider helping Jesus with funeral expenses for Becky. Hopefully we can come together to also help them with Christmas gifts for the kids. Becky gave so much of her time to helping out kids, please consider helping her family now. In her last moments in earth she told Jesus to tell everyone thank you for all the help during this difficult time.
