Memorial for Warren Jay Eggly

Donation protected
Warren Jay Eggly passed away unexpectedly in November, 2017.  He was a much liked and respected member of the Geocachers of the Bay Area.  He was president of the GBA board from 2016 to 2017 and a valued contributor to the Geocaching community.

Warren enjoyed the outdoors and socializing with the community.  He was so active and giving of his time that he contributed considerable energies to bringing the first Geocaching Mega Event to the area, which brought together visitors from around the state, country and world for a pleasant day in the South Bay.

He will be greatly missed by his friends and associates.

It is because he is so fondly remembered his friends would like to honor his memory by placing a bench with a memorial plaque in the Palo Alto Baylands or in Mountain View Shoreline Park.  Quotes from the agencies range from $1,500 to adopt an existing bench, with a new plaque to $2,700 for a new bench with plaque.

From time of order it will take about 8 weeks for the bench and plaque to be procured and placed.  At that time we would like as many friends to attend for a placement ceremony and memorial.

Please join us in contributing to the memory of our friend Warren.
