Memorial for Robin Drago
Samantha has asked me to reach out on the behalf of her family to explain a little more about Robin and her passing. For many years, Robin has suffered from depression and has also battled Multiple Sclerosis. On Wednesday, 5/1, Nick and Robin received news that the doctor believed Nick's cancer may have returned. The despair was too much for Robin to bear and on her birthday, May 2nd, she took her own life.
Before her passing, Robin expressed that she did not want to be mourned. There will not be a public service, and instead, a cremation and close family gathering. Robin loved her husband, children, and grandchildren more than anything. Despite being in pain, she did her best to be present. Nick and Robin understood each other and took care of each other through the ups and downs of their health. They were best friends and while we are all struggling, the void he is feeling is unimaginable. Nick is left having to pick up the pieces and start over after 30 years together.
Many people have asked, and in lieu of flowers, any donations will go directly to Nick to rebuild his life and face the coming days. Thank you to all who have prayed and sent flowers and kind words.
