Today, March 12th, 2018 was the most difficult day of my life. Today my mom lost her rather short fight with cancer. After a radical mastectomy last year, we were optimistic that we were going to have many years with her. Instead, the metastatic breast cancer came back; traveling into her bones, her spinal fluid, and made its way to her brain.
My mom's memorial is going to be held in California, but I am living in New Jersey, where my wife is stationed in the Army. Amazingly, we were able to take our two sons and visit my mom last month, to spend some quality time, while she still was still up for it.
This trip is going to be a financial hardship for our family, but there is no way that I'm not going to make it for my Mom's memorial service. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I hate asking, but i feel like there is no other option at this time.
