In Memory of Matthew Laurence

My name is Aaron Laurence, and so, to everyone who may not yet have heard the news, my father Matthew Jerome Laurence was pronounced dead on Tuesday August 7th 2018 at his home. My family is devastated with this unexpected death. Funeral plans are still being arranged and any updates regarding location and time will be posted here. My father wished to be cremated and my family wish to follow his last wishes as well as to be able to see him one last time. As this was so incredibly sudden and such an unforseen occurance we are very unequipped to handle the burden of these funeral arrangements. We are all trying to cope with this loss and I am stepping in to help my family organize this memorial for my father. The picture I've posted is of my dad  looking so incredibly happy holding both his children at the time, myself Aaron and his newborn daughter Meghan.  And of course this picture was taken by the true love of his life and my beautiful loving mother, Maria. I am my father's first born child and only son. He always let me know how special to him I was, how I was "his #1 son" and how much he loved me. He always told me I was his best friend. He loved it when I would make him laugh really hard with my jokes. Until his very end he always loved my 2 sister's; Meghan and Christa, my mother; Maria and his two grandsons; Joshua and Caleb. We all loved him in return so very much. Anyone who interacted with him saw the kindness he had and will also miss him very much. He was also a veteran and that was something he was always very proud of. Unfortunately as a veteran, his country did NOT come through for him in regards to taking care of his final funeral expenses. We are left with a sizable bill that we were never prepared for and never saw this tragedy happening to my father.
