Memorial Service for Lauren Phelps

Lauren Phelps-Tihista, my first-born daughter, unexpectedly passed away on September 23, 2018, at the age of 29. She was a loving Daughter, Sister, Grand-daughter, Neice, Cousin, and friend.
Lauren was a blessing to everyone who knew her. She was always kind, compassionate and full of wisdom. Always helpful and ready to cheer-up those in need, she had an intuitive way of understanding others, their pain, and joy. She was one of kind, a unique person, who always put others first. She was a fantastic swimmer, tennis player and student. We are all shocked and deeply saddened by her passing. She will be sorely missed.
Those of us who knew her would like to hold a memorial service for everyone to attend. We want to honor Lauren's life and share our experiences.
Many of her family members will require some financial assistance for travel purposes. And there is a need to secure an appropriate venue. We're looking at having Lauren's Memorial in Santa Cruz, CA, the town in which she was born.
I'm Brian Phelps, Laurens's father. I'm managing this fund and will accordingly disperse the money to family and friends in need, to secure the venue and to provide food and beverages at Lauren's Memorial. If you are in need of financial assistance for your travel arrangements, please let me know.
We would like to hold her memorial within the next three week, giving out of state family members an opportunity to make travel plans.
