Memorial for John Wood

On July 20th 2017 John experienced a hard fall down 7 steps landing head first into concrete, which landed him in the hospital in critical condition. John spent just about 2 weeks in that hospital, suffering from complication after complication. He had received emergency surgery for a broken neck, had fluid in his lungs a small brain bleed, which, did begin to diminish, as well as many other things. On August 2nd 2017 John was unexpectedly and rapidly moved to a rehabilitation facility, where he passed away later that night. John was a very strong man and very proud . He was the one that helped everyone. Unfortunately, he only had just over $800 in life insurance and as you know with expenses of a loved one's death that is not enough to cover proper services. My mother Robin Hill, is on a fixed income and unfortunately with just the bare minimum of cremation, the bill is about $4,600. No urn, no services at a funeral home or church, no burial. There is a schedued Celebration of Life for John on Sunday, August 13th from 11am-2pm at the Riverside Park, North Diamond shelter in Berlin.  Any help is appreciated! Thank you.
